SKILLED CONSTRUCTION TRADESMAN

About the Role

Seeking an experienced project manager to plan and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects and vendors. Applicant might oversee an entire construction project, or oversee specific aspects of a larger project. Looking for a candidate who has excellent supervisory experience, but isn't afraid to get their hands dirty!

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overseeing construction projects, materials and workers on site
• Trade specifically residential construction including but not limited to drywall, doors, hardware, flooring, framing, trim, crown molding, fixture installation and more
• Oversees and participates in all the same responsibilities as carpenters
• Supervises carpenters to ensure safety and quality in the performance of assigned tasks while coordinating and prioritizing shop and field work
• Reports to Project Manager

Qualifications

• Residential Construction: 10 Years (Required)
• Supervisory: 2 Years Minimum
• High school or equivalent
• Must have reliable transportation

Physical Demands

• Ability to communicate orally with project management, coworkers, subordinates, and other tradespeople is important
• Regular use of a variety of carpentry tools is essential
• Standing or kneeling for extended periods is common
• Heavy lifting is expected. Exertion of up to 60 lbs. of force occasionally is required
• Good manual dexterity for the use of common construction material, carpentry tools, and scaffolding is required

Work Environment

• The job may be performed both indoors and outdoors in residential settings including possible hazardous conditions on and around scaffolding or a construction site
• Exposure to loud noises, dust, dirt, and smoke may occur
• Activities include extended periods of standing or kneeling and extensive work with masonry tools, measuring devices, and machinery

Pay

Salary will be based on experience. Negotiable depending on experience.
