Skilled CNA Needed in Cumming

We are looking for a skilled CNA to join our team in Cumming, providing care for a 24/7 client. The caregiver will offer companionship and personal care, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, eating, and toileting. The ideal candidate is dependable, compassionate, punctual, and enjoys helping others. Reliability, empathy, and the ability to work with diverse individuals are essential.

About the Role

The client requires assistance with bathing, grooming, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship. The home has cats. This is an in-person role requiring daily commutes; remote work is not available. Applicants must live within 30 minutes of the hiring location and have reliable transportation.

Pay

Starting pay up to $20/hour, based on availability, credentials, and experience.

Schedule

Flexible availability preferred. Shifts are available 24/7, including days, overnights, and weekends (Monday–Sunday).

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care: instill confidence and trust in patients with competence and compassion.
• Assist with hygiene and daily living activities, including toileting, bathing, and showering.
• Support patients with meals as needed.
• Assist with ambulating, turning, and positioning patients.
• Maintain specialized training and perform additional tasks pertinent to the assigned patient or area.

Requirements

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Able to lift 25 pounds.
• Personal care experience.
• Passion for the job and a genuine desire to help others.
• Current certifications in CPR, First Aid, and a TB skin test (required before orientation).
• Reliable transportation, valid automobile insurance, and a current driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel up to 25 miles (30–45 minutes).
• Ability to pass background checks, fingerprinting, drug testing, and provide good work-related references.
• U.S. citizenship or approved work permit to work in the U.S.

Preferred experience includes roles such as Caregiver, Certified Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide/Assistant, or similar positions. Experience with bed-bound patients and hospice care is ideal.
