Responsibilities
- Assisted clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding while maintaining dignity and comfort.
- Provided mobility support, including safe transfers from bed to wheelchair, repositioning, and ambulation assistance.
- Administered medication reminders and ensured adherence to prescribed care plans.
- Prepared nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and assisted with feeding when necessary.
- Maintained a clean, safe, and organized living environment to prevent infection and accidents.
- Offered companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce isolation.
- Accompanied clients to medical appointments.
- Observed and reported changes in clients’ physical, emotional, or behavioral conditions to family members or healthcare professionals.
- Followed safety protocols and infection control guidelines at all times.
Qualifications
- Compassionate and dedicated caregiver with over 5+ years of hands-on experience providing high-quality personal care to elderly and disabled clients in home and facility settings.
- Highly skilled in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding while maintaining dignity and comfort.
- Proficient in safe patient handling techniques, including transfers using gait belts, Hoyer lifts, and wheelchairs.
- Knowledgeable in monitoring vital signs, medication reminders, and documenting changes in physical and emotional conditions.
- Trained in infection control, hygiene management, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and families.
- Patient, reliable, and culturally sensitive, with a strong commitment to preserving client dignity and independence.
- Able to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.
- Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle with car insurance.
- With a negative Tuberculosis test.
