Deer Valley Resort, nestled in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah’s historic mining town of Park City, offers a diverse workforce of locals, transplants, seasonal workers from all 50 states, and international students. Purpose of Position

The Skier Services Sales Intern supports Deer Valley’s sales operations by assisting guests with booking lessons, rentals, lift tickets, and children’s center activities while providing exceptional customer service and processing payments at one of nine sales locations. The role also aids the Sales leadership team with tracking retail sales performance, creating and maintaining training materials, distributing sales resources, and assisting with projects that enhance sales and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Sell and process ski lessons, ski rentals, childcare, and lift tickets.
• Oversee team retail sales tracking and reporting.
li>Record training videos on sales tools and procedures.
• Maintain up‑to‑date guest information and accurate records.
• Provide accurate information to guests.
• Serve as a mobile operations support, delivering supplies, marketing materials, and sales resources across nine sales locations.
• Gather and securely file Acknowledgement of Risks Agreements.
• Assist immediate supervisor daily with miscellaneous office duties.
• Balance all methods of payment (cash, checks, credit cards, etc.).
• Perform basic office duties such as copying, filing, stocking supplies, and keeping sales guest areas clean and orderly.
• Stay informed of updates/changes through interoffice emails, memos, etc.
• Meet all internship requirements set by university/school and Deer Valley Resort.
• Option to shadow other departments.

Qualifications

• Basic computer, accounting, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift at least 30 lb. and withstand frequent up‑and‑down, twisting, and repetitive movements.
• Availability for varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to sit and/or stand behind a counter and/or computer for 6–9 hours a day, four or five days a week (more during busy periods).
• Professional, dependable, and enjoys providing great customer service.
• Ability to ski (preferred).

Pay

$21.00 per hour.

Schedule

• Employment dates: Mid‑November to early December start, through mid‑April.
