Skid Steer Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate skid steer equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Move raw materials, regrind, scrap, and finished products throughout the facility.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, hoppers, bins, and storage containers.
• Transport materials to production lines and staging areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of production areas, yards, and loading zones.
• Perform daily pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections.
• Monitor fluid levels, tire condition, and general equipment condition.
• Report equipment damage, maintenance needs, or safety concerns immediately.
• Change attachments as required and operate various skid steer implements.
• Assist with grinding, shredding, material preparation, or general labor activities as needed.
• Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout requirements, and PPE requirements.
• Work closely with production, warehouse, and shipping personnel to meet operational goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience operating industrial equipment or machinery preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, recycling, plastics, or heavy industrial environments is a plus.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to read work orders and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, twist, climb, and work in a production environment.
• Exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures (PPE provided).
