About the Role

The Ski Valet stores and retrieves guest ski equipment efficiently and courteously while assisting in maintaining high-quality shop operations. This seasonal part-time position reports to the Front Office Manager.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, accurate storage and retrieval of winter sports equipment
• Greet guests and maintain a friendly, helpful attitude
• Ensure efficient, clean, and organized shop operations at all times
• Maintain broad knowledge to answer guest equipment-related queries and resort-wide information
• Acquire and retain detailed rental and retail product knowledge
• Use attention to detail in completing tasks and supporting daily shop operations
• Run skis and snowboards over waxing equipment when required
• Comply with risk management and indemnification procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1 year of previous rental shop experience preferred
• 1 year of previous customer service experience preferred
• Knowledge of product or service and company fire/safety procedures
• Strong knowledge of the surrounding town and areas
• Basic industry terminology
• Proficiency in clear verbal and written communication
• Bilingual skills (Spanish, Portuguese, French, or others) preferred
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Active listening and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work professionally in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to understand written and verbal English
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work effectively in team settings
• Compliance with grooming standards
• Ability to multi-task and manage a busy environment

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Ability to stand, walk, or be on your feet for extended periods
• Kneeling and bending may be required
• Regularly work indoors; some exposure to outdoor elements or slippery/uneven surfaces
• Frequently lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs. individually (up to 50 lbs. with assistance)
