About the role

MetroSlopes is building the next-generation indoor ski and snowboard training center in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our Burlingame facility combines immersive infinite slopes, a freestyle training park, trampoline area, beginner dry slope, a ski-specific gym, and an alpine café—creating a year-round destination for learning, training, and progression. This is a flexible, year-round role offering continuous employment and an ongoing training program, with opportunities across junior development programs and private or group lessons.

Responsibilities

  • Coaching & Instruction
    • Teach private and group lessons across beginner to advanced levels
    • Support and/or lead sessions within the junior development (devo) program
    • Adapt coaching style for children, adults, and athletes at different stages
    • Use MetroSlopes systems to deliver structured, high-quality coaching
    • Provide clear feedback and track student progress over time
  • Program Support
    • Assist with devo program structure, drills, and progression based on experience
    • Help maintain consistency in coaching standards and athlete development
    • Contribute to camps, clinics, and special programs
  • Freestyle & Cross-Training
    • Support training in freestyle park and trampoline areas if qualified
    • Reinforce balance, coordination, and movement skills across training zones
    • Help athletes connect off-snow training to on-snow performance
  • Customer Experience & Safety
    • Deliver a fun, professional, and engaging experience for all guests
    • Build relationships with returning students and families
    • Assist floor management
    • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean training environment

Requirements

  • Strong skiing or snowboarding ability at an intermediate to expert level
  • Coaching or teaching experience preferred, including lessons, camps, or clubs
  • Passion for working with children, families, and athletes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive, energetic, and team-oriented mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a ski club or junior development (devo) program
  • PSIA / AASI Level 2 certification or equivalent
  • Freestyle experience in park, moguls, or competition
  • Trampoline or movement training experience
