About the role

Syft is looking for a skilled software engineer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining features that power our workforce management platform, working closely with product and design to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services and APIs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and ship new features
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in Python and Django framework
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP)
• Understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing

Skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Ability to mentor junior engineers

Pay

$140,000 – $170,000 per year, depending on experience and location.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday with flexible core hours.
