About the role
We are seeking experienced, self-determined, and highly motivated SIU Field Investigators to join our team of professionals in our efforts to deter and combat insurance fraud. This is a hybrid style position that requires travel within the advertised city and state. We have several work from home, part-time and full-time hourly positions available in our rapidly expanding Special Investigations Unit.
Responsibilities
- Conduct multi-line insurance investigations suspected of insurance fraud or other irregularities as requested by our clients
- Obtain in-person interviews
- Identify, collect and preserve relevant evidence
- Document all findings into a clear, concise and timely investigative report
- Investigate auto, property, Workers' Compensation, and liability claims of varying complexity in which specific indicators have been identified
- Coordinate with law enforcement and/or the state fraud bureaus for regulatory compliance and criminal prosecutions
- Ability to investigate multiple insurance lines of business for potential fraud
- Conduct phone or in-person recorded statements with insureds, claimants, and witnesses
- Provide daily updates regarding current files
- Conduct scene investigations
- Obtain investigative photographs
- Maintain and report investigative expenses
- Complete detailed and accurate investigative reports
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have related experience in one or more of the following areas:
- A Minimum Of 5-10 Years Of Experience As a Private Investigator / SIU Investigator
- Claims Adjuster
- Law Enforcement
- Military Police / CID
- Or other related investigative fields
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze information, develop logical questions and accurately report findings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent time management skills
- A customer service focus
- A strong desire to learn and work as a team
- Be willing to travel
- Possess a valid driver's license and provide MVR
- Current Private Investigator license may be required in some states
- Must pass a drug test, and pre-employment testing

Pay
VRC employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis. Investigators are paid a competitive hourly wage commensurate with experience.
Upon hiring, paid formal training is provided.
