Situational Houseparents

About the role

Goshen Valley Boys Ranch, a division of Goshen Valley Foundation, is seeking mission-minded married couples to serve as houseparent in training.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with tasks in the home in the evening when the homes are busiest.
• Teaching life skills curriculum in the homes for youth.
• On-call emergency assistance as needed.
• Transporting youth to appointments.
• Filling in as needed including overnight supervision and date nights for Houseparents.
• Moving into the home and providing oversight of the home and the residents.
• This includes managing the home, carrying out the structure in the home, cooking, cleaning, transporting, supervising, and addressing behavioral issues as they arise.

Requirements

• One or both of the couple must have, or be working toward gaining, a bachelor's Degree, or have a minimum of three years of experience houseparenting for a youth care agency.
• Both must have a GED or High School Diploma.
