Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Support the setup and maintenance of LAN/WAN systems, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Assist in managing network security protocols and ensuring data protection.
- Provide technical support to staff and students regarding network-related issues.
- Maintain documentation of network configurations, changes, and incidents.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement network upgrades and improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum BS-17 level qualification as per the prescribed criteria.
- Experience in network administration or a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and software (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Familiarity with network security principles and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
