Northeast Precast (NEP) is seeking dependable, hardworking Site Work Heavy Construction Laborers to support construction projects at various job sites. This is a hands-on position involving physical outdoor work, construction-site preparation, installation support, and general labor duties.
Responsibilities
- Assist with excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, and site preparation.
- Support the installation of precast concrete products, drainage systems, utilities, and other site-work materials.
- Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Use hand and power tools safely and properly.
- Assist equipment operators, foremen, and other crew members as directed.
- Perform digging, shoveling, raking, compacting, and cleanup duties.
- Set up barricades, cones, signs, and other work-zone safety equipment.
- Follow site plans, instructions, and established work procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site.
- Follow all company safety rules and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Perform other construction-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous construction, site work, underground utility, concrete, excavation, or heavy labor experience is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, mud, dust, and other changing conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, push, and pull for extended periods.
- Must be comfortable working around heavy construction equipment.
- Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to follow directions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a crew.
- Reliable transportation to the designated reporting location or job site is required.
- A valid driver’s license is preferred.
- OSHA 10 certification is preferred but not required.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, starting at 6:00 a.m.– 4 p.m. This position requires a flexible schedule. Start times, end times, and daily hours may change based on project requirements and business needs.
- Saturdays, nighttime work, and occasional Sundays may be required.
- Overtime may be required based on operational needs.
- Travel to different job sites may be required.
Pay
$23–$25 per hour. Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and skills.
