Site Superintendent - Texas
Working alongside project and field leadership, you will help coordinate subcontractors, monitor construction activities, and support project closeout and turnover efforts to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and with a high standard of quality. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage subcontractor activities, materials, equipment, and workforce resources to support safe and efficient project execution.
- Monitor daily field operations to ensure work is completed in accordance with project schedules, quality standards, safety requirements, and budget expectations.
- Partner with subcontractors, project leadership, and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) teams to address issues, remove roadblocks, and maintain project progress.
- Support project closeout efforts, including punch list development, tracking, verification, and documentation to ensure timely completion of outstanding items.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate status updates regarding project milestones, punch list items, quality concerns, and closeout activities.
- Review and validate subcontractor progress, completed work, and quantities submitted to support payment approval processes.
- Assist Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) teams with inspections and field verification activities to ensure installations meet project specifications and quality requirements.
- Identify, communicate, and help mitigate construction risks related to safety, quality, schedule, and project execution.
- Participate in project meetings and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project priorities, deliverables, and expectations.
- Support the successful turnover of completed facilities by coordinating inspections, documentation, corrective actions, and final handoff activities.
Requirements
- Knowledge of construction standards, work methods, equipment, maintenance practices, and materials.
- OSHA safety training and certifications.
- Ability to read and interpret maps, drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Understanding of contractual language, project documentation, and payment milestone requirements.
Qualifications
- Utility-scale solar construction experience.
- Previous Site Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Construction Supervisor, or General Foreman experience.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and supporting field execution on large-scale construction or energy infrastructure projects.
- OSHA 30 certification or equivalent construction safety training and certifications.
Schedule
Site-based role with home trip rotations (typically every 3–4 weeks).
Pay
$110,000 – $130,000 (flexible based on experience).
