About the role

The Site Superintendent role is responsible for overseeing and administrating the efforts of all subcontractors in a specific area. This includes coordinating processes, resolving concerns, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Meet regularly with the Superintendent and subcontractors to discuss projects, timelines, and staffing needs.
  • Work with the Superintendent and Project Manager to establish new hiring processes and procedures for field personnel.
  • Schedule and coordinate materials to be shipped to the job site.
  • Oversee and ensure all projects in the specific area are completed according to forecasts.
  • Manage the safety program and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Aid in the coordination of tools and equipment with the Tools/Equipment Manager as needed.
  • Oversee the production and field staffing team for a specific area, providing direction, coordination, and evaluation.
  • Assist in the interviewing, hiring, and training of field staff and support staff.
  • Develop training programs for field staff to maintain company excellence.
  • Conduct area production and field staffing meetings as required.
  • Manage payroll and production tracking.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience in similar roles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to identify and meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Expertise in commercial electrical field management, design, and contracting.
  • Self-starter and problem-solver with the ability to manage multiple tasks under time constraints.
  • Familiarity with team-building techniques.
  • Proficiency in using computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing requirements, and work under time pressure.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.
  • Professional interaction with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others.

Pay

Schedule

Travel-based position with up to 25% travel.

Working Conditions

General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite. Occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs. Compliance with ADA and applicable state law, including reasonable accommodation measures.
