Site Superintendent

About the role
Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities and coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies and conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and adherence to plans. Monitor project progress, prepare daily reports, and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site. Complete and document all system testing and inspections of PV systems.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all materials, equipment, inspections, and tracking support the project schedule within our respective systems (Procore, Smartsheet, Gsheet, etc).
- Review construction documents for completeness and constructability.
- Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies.
- Ensure RFI’s and/or Submittals are properly tracked within Procore and follow to completion.
- Participate in the development and management of project schedules with the PMO, ensuring CSE has a 1–3-month schedule look ahead.
- Collaborate and take instruction from CSE Senior Superintendents and conduct on-site project training and orientations as needed.
- Coach, supervise, and develop responsibilities of the project installation team.
- Ensure daily logs are being entered by on-site team via Procore.
- Conduct effective pre-construction planning sessions and project site meetings.
- Supervise project partners, craft foremen, and crews.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure high standards of construction.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Identify and address any quality issues promptly, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
- Maintain detailed records of quality control activities and findings.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop and improve quality control processes.
- Train and mentor site staff on quality control best practices and standards.
- Recognize and mitigate unfavorable working conditions and find opportunities to improve processes and procedures.
- Oversee the commissioning of CSE’s monitoring systems on all constructed and acquired solar assets.
Requirements
- One year of experience in the job offered or as a foreman, supervising construction workers & subcontractors on-site, & ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Experience reading & interpreting blueprints & construction plans.
