Responsibilities

  • Support a variety of projects including due diligence and supporting work for data centers, industrial sites, and power facilities.
  • Have experience in zoning hearings and be able to present projects and represent HDR in a professional manner.
  • Lead site visits in field reconnaissance of projects with other HDR staff and clients.
  • Carefully coordinate with multiple internal teams on each project.
  • Be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Be proficient in civil engineering concepts such as topographic design, land development standards, and state and municipal review processes.
  • Have an interest in working on a variety of projects and be able to coordinate between multiple groups and have excellent communication skills.
  • Be familiar with AutoCAD Civil 3D and lead team members in creating preliminary concept drawings with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • 10 years’ technical and/or field experience in complex site civil and/or environmental planning projects.
  • Experience with local planning organizations and the ability to present projects in quasi-judicial proceedings.
  • Ability and interest to work on various types of projects and perform multiple roles depending upon the project need.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with data center development, site due diligence, land development, and creating erosion control plans.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and leading team members in creating preliminary concept drawings with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or closely related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years environmental experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Strong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving, and research abilities.

Skills

The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, be proficient in civil engineering concepts, and have experience with local planning organizations and presenting projects in quasi-judicial proceedings.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 annually.

Schedule

The position is full-time and requires up to 20% travel based on client schedules.
