Site Selection Associate

About the role

Lambda, The Superintelligence Cloud, seeks a skilled Infrastructure or Real Estate Investment professional to join our dynamic team. This role will focus on designing, managing, and testing complex financial models across the data center investment lifecycle, including lease, acquisitions, and development. The ideal candidate will also lead leadership reporting, support transactional activities, shape location strategy, evaluate opportunities, and build market intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Model the Business: Design, manage, and pressure-test complex financial models across the data center investment lifecycle — including lease, acquisitions and development.
• Own Leadership Reporting: Prepare and deliver materials for senior management and the Board.
• Execute Transactions: Support negotiation of LOIs, PSAs, and lease agreements, and manage diligence and closing processes through to funding.
• Shape Location Strategy: Help define which markets and submarkets to pursue based on power availability, customer demand, and competitive positioning.
• Evaluate Opportunities: Underwrite individual sites and leases in partnership with the power, design, and construction teams, surfacing risks and recommendations.
• Build Market Intelligence: Maintain a database of land comps, transaction comps, competitor activity, and powered-land pipeline across target markets — and translate it into investment recommendations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in infrastructure or real estate investment—modeling deals, capital markets, and both acquisition and lease transactions.
• Industry Familiarity: Prior exposure to data center, industrial, or infrastructure asset classes.
• Communication Skills: Can distill complicated financial analysis into clean, executive-ready decks—strong presentation and storytelling skills are essential.
• Nice to Have: Experience at investment banking, real estate, data center development, commercial brokerage, or institutional investment platforms. Working familiarity with utility interconnection processes, transmission constraints, and behind-the-meter generation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in financial modeling and investment analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The annual salary range for this position has been set based on market data and other factors. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.

Schedule

Preference for those who can be in our San Francisco office location 4 days per week; Lambda’s designated work from home day is currently Tuesday.
