Site Search Engineer II
About the role
The Dennis Group Inc. is seeking a Site Search Engineer in Duluth, Georgia. This role is hybrid, allowing for up to 2 days of remote work per week, with 15% domestic and international travel.
Responsibilities
- Creatively find reliable sources for geographical reference points.
- Use Google Maps and national databases for: labor, utilities rates and availability, and tax assessments.
- Parse quantitative and qualitative data in Excel and present findings in executive summaries.
- Coordinate with City and State Economic Development teams.
- Review sites for utility infrastructure and constructability characteristics.
- Complete preliminary review of environmental challenges, state tax assessments, and labor analysis.
- Coordinate with property owners, real estate brokers, economic development personnel, utility providers, and local AHJ.
Requirements
- At least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience as a Wastewater Engineer or a related role.
- In the alternative, at least a master’s or its equivalent in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience as a Wasterwater Engineer or in a related role.
- At least 3 years of experience with sustainable engineering and LEED design;
- At least 3 years of experience with solar and renewable energy cost/value analysis and modeling;
- At least 3 years of experience with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and global warming impacts;
- At least 3 years of experience with converting design requirements to site utility sizing;
- At least 3 years of experience reviewing industrial properties and supporting land transactions;
- At least 3 years of experience communicating with technical and nontechnical stakeholders;
- At least 3 years of experience with municipal operations, permitting, ordinances, zoning, taxation, and land use;
- Demonstrable experience with budgeting, financing and schedule software and protocols.
Qualifications

Benefits
Approximately 40 hours per week; the salary for this position is at least $113,402 per year.
