About the role

This role is part of Fortinet's FortiGuard operation team based in Sunnyvale. The team manages consumer-facing services with high traffic volumes globally. The primary focus is on ensuring service reliability and security.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize cloud-based services
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
• Implement and maintain security measures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure service quality

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in SRE or similar roles
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Strong understanding of networking and security concepts
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Nagios
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Technical proficiency in Linux/Unix systems
• Experience with Kubernetes or other orchestration tools
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
