Site Reliability Engineer - Lead

About the role

Credence is seeking a Site Reliability SME with hands‑on Cloud Operations Engineer experience to join its Cloud Managed Services Provider team. The position is based at Credence’s corporate headquarters in Tyson’s Corner, Vienna, VA.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in Windows, Linux, and AWS within an AWS GovCloud environment.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including the Operations Manager/TOPM, technical leads, and environmental engineers, to prioritize, track, and complete initiatives.
• Streamline tasking in ServiceNow, Confluence, and Jira.
• Develop metrics and reporting for monthly deliverables.
• Apply Agile SAFe methodology to streamline processes.
• Interface with cybersecurity team members on deliverables as required.
• Enhance and document processes and procedures.
• Facilitate incident‑management response for service disruptions and degradations within established SLAs.
• Assist with team requirements gathering and delegate tasks as necessary.
• Manage key stakeholder relationships and deliver high‑quality customer service.
• Be available beyond core business hours for outage or degradation events.

Requirements

• DoD Public Trust (NACi) clearance or higher.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Five (5) years of related work experience as a technical leader.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to work and produce results in a fast‑paced environment with dynamic deadlines.
• Experience with incident management and adherence to SLAs.
• Proficiency with ServiceNow, Confluence, Jira, and Agile SAFe methodology.
• Capability to develop metrics, reporting, and documentation.
• Security certifications such as IAT II, Security+, or equivalent.

Preferred qualifications

• Five or more years of AWS Site Reliability Engineering experience.
• Strong Windows and/or Linux operating system acumen.
• IAT/IAM III certification.
• AWS certification.

Pay

Salary range: $90,000.00 to $130,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate’s experience, education, skills, and overall qualifications.
