Responsibilities

  • System Architecture Support: Assist in maintaining and improving systems to enhance performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • CICD Pipeline Maintenance: Support the building, implementation, and iteration of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Microservices Deployment: Assist with the management and deployment of microservice and containerized applications.
  • Security Implementation: Help implement strong security controls across distributed systems and agents.
  • Deployment Automation: Coordinate with engineers to help automate configurations and deployments across platforms.
  • Observability Management: Write automation scripts and standardize alerts for established monitoring tools.
  • Incident Response: Contribute to post-mortems and assist teams with root cause analysis.
  • DevOps Promotion: Support Agile/Scrum practices and promote DevOps methodologies within the team.
  • Hybrid Cloud Support: Assist in maintaining hybrid cloud and containerization service offerings.
  • Toolset Operations: Work alongside subject matter experts to learn toolsets and suggest day-to-day operational improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree with 6 years experience; or Masters Degree with 5 years experience; or PhD
  • Fundamental knowledge of Cloud Platform administration (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Experience with or a strong understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Bamboo, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with running Docker workloads and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Amazon ECS).
  • Foundational understanding of observability tools and pillars (metrics, logs, tracing).
  • Comfortable working in and administering Linux and Windows environments.
  • Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • A security-first mindset, treating best practices for security as a core requirement rather than an afterthought.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a group.
  • A strong passion for learning new concepts quickly and adapting to a changing environment.
  • Proficiency with development tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash, Git).
  • Entry-level cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure AZ-900).
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) systems such as Terraform or GitOps practices (ArgoCD, Helm).
  • Familiarity with observability solutions (e.g., OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Knowledge of database management systems (NoSQL and Relational Databases).
  • Prior hands-on experience working within an Agile team structure.
  • Exposure to SPIRE/SPIFFE and authorization controls.
  • Familiarity with serverless architectures and distributed system concepts.
  • Experience with data management and pipeline technologies (e.g., Kafka, Spark, Hadoop).
  • Basic understanding of integrating MCP servers with authorization controls.
