About the role

Elevate Scalability as Our Next Site Reliability Engineer! Ready to make a high-impact mark on critical infrastructure using AWS GovCloud and cutting-edge cloud technologies? Trimble is looking for an innovative problem-solver to shape, scale, and secure our FedRAMP PaaS portfolio while driving continuous system resilience!

Key Exciting Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performing cloud infrastructure across AWS GovCloud and Azure platforms.
  • Architect automated deployment, monitoring, and observability tools to track error budgets and optimize continuous system performance.
  • Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to establish Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and build automated incident response systems.
  • Conduct high-impact redundancy, resilience, and failover testing to maintain continuous uptime for mission-critical SaaS and PaaS platforms.
  • Manage security posture and enforce FedRAMP best practices in alignment with Trimble Cloud Core Platform standards.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure public cloud environments.
  • Solid system administration and scripting capabilities in environments like Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Perl.
  • Clear understanding of IT operations, networking, storage, and computing concepts.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities within application operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a drive to learn new technologies.

Bonus Points For Experience

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
  • Familiarity with container platforms including Docker, ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes.
  • Background working with FedRAMP frameworks, AWS SDK, or directory services like SAML and Active Directory.
  • Practical knowledge of database technologies (RDBMS/NoSQL) and operational tools like Grafana, Sumo, PRTG, or Jira Service Management.

Logistics

  • Location: Westminster, CO or Lake Oswego, OR (4 days in office)
  • Travel Requirement: Minimal to 10%
