About the role
The Site Quality Manager provides clear leadership for developing a Quality-focused environment at the site to achieve quality targets for customers and meet business goals. This role involves developing quality-process links with customers in line with the Quality Management System, including ISO 90001, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Controls Plans, and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) processes. You will oversee continued compliance and embedding of these processes across the business. This position reports to the Global Quality Director and is based in New Port Richey, FL.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to improve operational performance.
- Ensure process control through procedures, work instructions, and specifications.
- Implement all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance.
- Perform root cause analysis, resolve problems, and identify business improvement opportunities.
- Manage internal audits, external/customer audits, and supplier quality management.
- Oversee product identification and traceability.
- Set department objectives/KPIs and review ongoing performance of direct reports, ensuring KPIs are met.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or manufacturing.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive quality assurance experience within a manufacturing and aerospace environment.
- Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience, including managing people leaders, with demonstrated excellence in leadership, team management, and interpersonal effectiveness.
- Strong problem-solving, team-building, planning, and decision-making skills.
- Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing experience.
- Experience dealing with customers and suppliers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Minitab, with the ability to analyze and interpret data.
Preferred Qualifications
- ERP knowledge, with SAP preferred.
- Familiarity with AS9100, NADCAP, and Safety Management Systems for Aerospace.
- ASME or Machining background (CNC).
- Experience working with the FAA, CAA, or other Aerospace regulatory bodies.
- Lean manufacturing experience.
