About the role

As a Site Quality Control Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance across our manufacturing operations. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help develop, implement, and maintain robust quality systems that support customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. This role offers the opportunity to influence site performance, strengthen quality governance, and support compliance with internationally recognized standards including ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, and EFfCI GMP.

Responsibilities

  • Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the site Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, and EFfCI GMP requirements.
  • Assist in implementing and sustaining quality and product safety programs, including HACCP, risk assessments, traceability systems, contamination control, and hygiene practices.
  • Participate in internal, supplier, customer, and third-party certification audits and support the timely closure of audit findings and corrective actions (CAPAs).
  • Execute quality decision-making authority for raw materials, packaging components, in-process materials, finished products, procedures, and quality-related changes.
  • Partner with Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, EHS, and Regulatory teams to embed quality, GMP, and product safety standards into daily operations.
  • Manage supplier quality activities, including raw material and packaging approvals and vendor complaint investigations.
  • Monitor quality performance indicators and support continuous improvement initiatives through trend analysis, risk assessment, and management review processes.
  • Promote a strong quality culture through coaching, training support, and active engagement within manufacturing areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology, Quality Management, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Experience within a quality, quality control, quality assurance, food safety, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, specialty chemical, or related manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, and/or EFfCI standards.
  • Experience participating in audits, inspections, investigations, and corrective action management.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and risk-assessment skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in quality documentation, records management, training systems, and data integrity practices.

Pay

The expected salary range for this role is $80,000–$85,000 annually, with variations based on factors such as experience, education, training, licensure, certification, and location.
