Site Manager, DashMart - Dayton, OH

About the role

In this role, you’ll manage a 5–15k sq ft distribution center, the local warehouse operating team, and be responsible for ensuring high quality for customers. You’ll lead, own, delight customers, and strategize to continuously improve operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead: Recruit, lead, coach, and retain a high-performing team of Shift Leads (3+) and Operations Associates (6+); set the team up for success to work safely and productively; build a strong, positive culture; drive strong employee satisfaction scores; partner with Shift Leads to delegate daily tasks and ensure high performance.
• Own: Own the day-to-day operations of a DashMart warehouse (including light-prep kitchen where applicable), ensure smooth, efficient, and safe site processes, own scheduling, manage a labor budget, and meet site-level metric goals.
• Delight customers: Lead the team to provide the best possible customer experience on every order; maintain key quality metrics including order accuracy and fulfillment speed; work cross-functionally with central teams (inventory, training) to provide tools and resources.
• Strategize: Use data to identify pain points or inefficiencies; design, build, and execute process improvement projects to improve warehouse operations, quality metrics, and employee experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of team leadership experience in high-volume operations (retail, grocery, hospitality, fulfillment, logistics, or operations) with a track record of developing people and delivering results.
• Proven leader with experience managing high-performance teams of 10+ employees.
• Acts like an owner: willing to support a 24/7 business across multiple shifts.
• Solves problems from first principles; resists “this is how it’s always been done” thinking.
• Thrives in ambiguous, startup environments; unafraid of rapid change and learning.
• Analytical mindset; uses data to win arguments; experienced with Excel or Google Sheets (basic formulas and pivot tables).
• College degree or relevant professional work experience.
• Flexible schedule; requires some late-night and weekend availability to support the team and site.

Pay

The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado, is $64,800—$95,300 USD. Base salary is localized according to work location and is determined based on job-related factors including skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. In addition to base salary, the compensation includes opportunities for equity grants.
