About the Role

The Site Manager provides overall administrative and technical management for a jobsite, working in alliance with the Project Manager. This non-exempt role involves overseeing site operations, ensuring adherence to design, budget, and schedule, and interfacing with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee jobsite to ensure work aligns with design, budget, and schedule; collaborate with Project Manager and client representatives.
• Ensure compliance with company, client, and project policies, procedures, and standards; interpret and update site-specific policies as needed.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise onsite functions including scheduling, engineering, material control, and administrative staff.
• Supervise craft employees and subcontractors; provide technical assistance such as interpreting drawings and recommending construction methods.
• Initiate and maintain extra work estimating and issuance of change orders.
• Ensure productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance.
• Assist with safety program implementation and ensure compliance with client scheduling and cost control processes.
• Coordinate contractor workforce and resources efficiently; collaborate in managing client processes.
• Daily interface with client workforce; monitor hiring, disciplinary, and training development processes.
• Perform additional assignments as directed by supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of construction or project management, estimating, and/or craft supervision experience in similar facility construction (Union experience preferred).
• Eight (8) to ten (10) years of technical training and/or related experience, including thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction.
• Experience with planning, scheduling, estimating, cost control, and budgeting.
• Knowledge of applicable Union Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs).
• Strong quality and safety awareness.
• Advanced knowledge of jobsite crafts and ability to advise on efficient productivity methods.
• Ability to inspire employees toward constant improvement while administering accountability.
• Excellent mentoring, communication, organizational, and supervisory skills.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation required.
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others at the workplace.

Physical Involvement

• Climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc., above and below ground level.
• Maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, and structures.
• Reaching in all directions; handling and manipulating objects and materials.
• Coordinating eye, hand, and finger movements to operate tools and equipment.
• Lifting from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead.
• Carrying objects, tools, and equipment.
• Standing, walking, pushing, bending, kneeling, and crouching/squatting.
• Seeing and hearing with or without correction.

Pay

Final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
