NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION

The Site Manager assumes responsibility for overseeing all facility activities from the on-campus Site Manager office. The Site Manager maintains contact with facility administration, case managers, nursing, and direct care staff as needed to ensure the smooth operation of all programs.

JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Affirm staff absences and reasons for absences for each shift
  • Adjust DSP staff assignments based on client census in each group home and facility need
  • Ensure that essential information is passed on to the incoming Site Manager at each shift change
  • Validate client outings for approval and staff compliance
  • Maintain daily client census log and client sign-in/out sheets
  • Clock clients in and out of the day program when entering and exiting through the front gate
  • Auxiliary staff in behavior management of clients across all programs
  • Regulate vehicle and pedestrian traffic at the facility entrance for smooth client drop-off and pick-up
  • Enforce safety procedures for pedestrians and clients
  • Make routine checks of campus facilities and gates
  • Lock and unlock gates at appropriate times of day
  • Maintain keys for all facilities and vehicles
  • Cook authorized persons to enter property
  • Maintain a sign-in/out log of all visitors, contractors, and client family members
  • Notify the appropriate staff member when visitors proceed to their office
  • Call 911 (police or fire department) in the event of fire, presence of unauthorized persons, medical emergencies, or as directed by administrative staff
  • Contact the appropriate repair service in the event of an emergency and notify the Facilities Manager
  • Accept and document the safekeeping of credit cards, cash, and other valuables
  • Review previous Site Manager Reports for updates relevant to their shift
  • Answer phones and route calls appropriately
  • Provide a narrative of activity related to clients, staff, and the main campus for each shift, clearly documented in Site Manager Report
  • Inform facility administration and the Case Managers of unusual occurrences and important incidents

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND DEMANDS

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
  • Frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Occasionally required to sit
  • Must infrequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions; occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles
  • Work environment noise level is usually moderate
