Responsibilities
- Oversee the Aircrew Instructors in all specialties
- Coordinate site activities with Training System Services and Maintenance Manager
- Manage the KC-46 ATS Formal Training Unit (FTU)
- Develop and recommend concepts, policies, and procedures for managing assigned tasks
- Research, develop, and document training systems support requirements and interfaces across the spectrum of operations missions
- Maintain awareness of activities and trends in operations systems, interfaces, and requirements for the KC-46 mission
- Report the status of site activities to Program Management, as required
- Assist in planning, organizing, and directing implementation of the ATS site
- Act as site implementation/integration manager
- Carefully coordinate and assist in site activities associated with required program reviews
- Supervise staff responsible for specific elements of the ATS site including instruction, maintenance, scheduling, training, and administration
- Evaluate work performance on all direct reports in accordance with established policy on performance reviews
- Support the Corporate Quality Assurance (QA) Program and monitor compliance at the MOB
- Ensure that all site activities and personnel actions are in compliance with Corporate Policy and Procedures and KC-46 ATS Program Directives
- Recommend local site policy and procedures
- Prepare and review proposals and specifications
- Represent FlightSafety in day-to-day activities associated with site integration and operation with the local Air Force base and community; includes staff meetings, community planning activities, local charitable contributions, and Air Force's sponsored programs
- Perform instructional duties on the KC-46, as outlined in the job descriptions applicable to all KC-46 Aircrew Instructors, per the Statement of Work (SOW)
Qualifications
- Experience as a military tanker Pilot/Boom Operator Instructor or receiver Pilot Instructor required
- Five years of experience required in an ATS environment, of which at least two years as a Manager or Supervisor is preferred
Skills
- Morally and ethically influence others to successfully achieve program goals
- Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
- Basic ATS knowledge
- Basic knowledge of maintenance activities, policies, and procedures
- Basic knowledge of personal computers and software applications, such as word processing applications, spreadsheets, and databases
- Basic knowledge of government proposals and contracts
- Basic knowledge of the Instructional Systems Development (ISD) process
- Basic knowledge of aircrew scheduling
