Responsibilities
- Follow all company personnel and safety policies and perform all assigned duties in a safe and professional manner.
- Provide leadership, direction, and oversight of security personnel supporting Installation Access Control Point (IACP) operations.
- Manage daily security operations to ensure compliance with contract requirements, Army regulations, installation policies, post orders, and standard operating procedures.
- Cook up coordination with DASG leadership and Government representatives to ensure effective mission execution and contract performance.
- Schedule, staff, train, account for, and maintain operational readiness of the workforce.
- Conduct inspections, quality control reviews, and operational assessments to ensure service requirements are met.
- Ensure access control procedures, vehicle inspections, and installation security standards are properly implemented and maintained.
- Maintain accountability for assigned equipment, uniforms, credentials, and government-furnished property.
- Prepare and maintain reports, records, and other documentation required for contract performance.
- Foster a professional environment that promotes safety, security, customer service, and mission success.
- Assist with employee coaching, mentoring, performance management, and corrective actions as required.
- Support mobilization, onboarding, training, and qualification efforts for contract personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience as a direct supervisor of armed or unarmed security guards or police personnel, including scheduling, training, and personnel management.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience as an armed or unarmed security guard, police officer, military service member, or related security professional.
- Active Alabama unarmed guard license required.
- Prior experience managing security operations, access control programs, or security personnel.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Successfully pass and maintain physical agility requirements, including 19 pushups in two minutes and a 1.5-mile run in 17 minutes and 30 seconds.
- Successfully pass required drug screening, background investigations and installation access requirements.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Redstone Arsenal installation access credentials.
- Successfully complete all required contract, Army, and site-specific training requirements.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Capable of working flexible schedules and responding to operational requirements as needed.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Knowledge of security operations, force protection, access control, and physical security principles.
- Ability to lead and supervise security personnel in a dynamic operational environment.
- Ability to effectively coordinate with Government representatives, customers, and internal leadership.
- Knowledge of workforce scheduling, training, quality control, and personnel management practices.
- Ability to assess operational issues, identify solutions, and make sound decisions.
- Ability to prepare and review reports, records, and administrative documentation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office applications, access control systems, and security-related technologies.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining operational effectiveness.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, and maintain situational awareness.
- The employee may be required to run, climb, kneel, bend, crawl, lift, carry, push, or pull while performing security duties.
- The employee must be able to wear required duty gear and personal protective equipment and work in a variety of environmental conditions.
Work Environment
- Work is performed at access control points, gate facilities, and other designated locations throughout Redstone Arsenal.
- The employee will regularly work outdoors and may be exposed to varying weather conditions, vehicle traffic, elevated noise levels, and emergency situations.
