Site Inspector Lead (Data Center Manufacturing Quality)

Avicado Construction Technology Services is seeking a Site Inspector Lead to support one of our rapidly growing data center clients.
Responsibilities
Conduct quality inspections at facilities across North America. Verify critical data center equipment manufactured in accordance with approved specifications, quality requirements, and project standards.
Inspect electrical, mechanical, HVAC, modular, and prefabricated infrastructure components throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. Identify manufacturing defects, quality risks, schedule concerns, and non-conformances before equipment ships to project sites.
Validate supplier readiness, production progress, testing activities, and documentation completeness.
Develop, refine, and execute inspection checklists, quality assessments, and field reporting processes. Document inspection findings with detailed reports, photographs, observations, and corrective action recommendations.
Track and manage quality issues through resolution and closure. Provide clear communication and status updates to client stakeholders, suppliers, and project leadership.
Maintain detailed inspection records and equipment traceability documentation.
Clock in with suppliers, manufacturers, and client teams. Support schedule discussions and negotiate inspection timing to align with project delivery milestones.
Escalate quality, production, and delivery risks to stakeholders proactively. Partner with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and construction teams to ensure successful equipment delivery.
Recommend improvements to supplier quality processes, inspection methodologies, and reporting standards. Identify recurring quality trends and support corrective and preventive action initiatives.
Help establish scalable quality assurance processes across multiple supplier locations.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Manufacturing Inspection, Supplier Quality, or Industrial Equipment Inspection.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and inspection methodologies.
Experience creating, improving, and executing inspection checklists and quality documentation.
Ability to identify defects, quality concerns, and manufacturing risks.
Strong written communication and reporting skills.
Excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Willingness to travel approximately 75% throughout North America.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience inspecting electrical equipment, switchgear, generators, transformers, cooling systems, HVAC equipment, modular infrastructure, or mission-critical systems.
Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE), Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Quality, or QA/QC background.
Experience supporting semiconductor, automotive, industrial manufacturing, data center, or mission-critical infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with factory acceptance testing (FAT), production inspections, and supplier audits.
Knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure or hyperscale data center programs.
Skills
