Site Environmental, Health and Safety Compliance Engineer

About the role

The Space and Defense Group is part of Moog, a company that empowers people to achieve great things through innovative solutions. We're looking for a Site Environmental, Health and Safety Compliance Engineer to join our team in Chatsworth, CA.

Responsibilities

• Manage EHS programs and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Lead training sessions and interpret EHS data.
• Create or modify EHS procedures and audit programs.
• Implement and integrate EHS management systems into facility processes.
• Conduct root cause investigations and corrective action analyses.
• Provide guidance to employees on developing compliant solutions and process improvements.
• Support emergency response activities and be capable of leading the team.
• Interface with regulatory agencies and handle corrective action plans.
• Complete required submissions for internal and external EHS requests.
• Collaborate with the Site Leadership Team, Corporate EHS Management, and other Operating Group EHS team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, safety, chemical, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive environmental, health and safety experience in a manufacturing or production-related environment.
• Proven ability to interpret EHS data and act.
• Experience writing and delivering EHS training programs.
• Experience conducting root cause investigations and corrective action analyses.
• Ability to work onsite in Chatsworth, CA.

Qualifications

• Ability to access U.S. export-controlled information.
• Comfortable in a hands-on manufacturing shop floor environment.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software suite.

Pay

$125,000.00–$155,000.00 Annually
