About the role
This position works in the bus stop enhancement program providing ground maintenance, preparation and landscaping, sweeping and cleaning debris from bus stops, shoveling snow and chipping ice from bus stops, planting flowers, maintaining lawns and planters at bus stops. Facility maintenance including pressure washing and cleaning bus stops and furnishings, installing bus stop furniture including digging holes for embedded furniture and drilling holes for surface mounted furniture, installing and maintaining paver bricks for boarding areas. Minor construction work including but not limited to constructing planters, cleaning and repairing vandalism, painting, some masonry and other related duties.

- Works in all weather conditions.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and experience in the operation of small hand tools and performing unskilled heavy manual labor.
- Valid State of Alaska Driver’s License with satisfactory driving record at time of hire.
- Satisfactory background check which includes criminal, education, and employment history at time of hire.
- Physical examination (including full Functional Capacity Evaluation with audiogram at time of hire).
Qualifications
