Site Engineer

About the Role

Manage and supervise all civil engineering activities on industrial and factory building construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQs, ensuring compliance with project requirements and relevant codes.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other consultants to resolve design-related issues.
• Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to approved plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.
• For projects involving steel structures, oversee fabrication, erection, and quality control processes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
• Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure the construction meets the required standards and specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections and address any non-conformities.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel.
• Ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety regulations.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges that may arise during the construction process.
• Prepare regular progress reports, site inspection reports, and other relevant documentation.
• Maintain accurate project records.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders regarding project progress, technical issues, and potential risks.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site staff.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

Requirements

• Experience: 3+ years
• Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.Sc. Engg.)
• Skills: Structural engineering, construction supervision, site engineering, project engineering, site supervision, construction management, civil engineering, civil engineering design
