About the role

High Point & Affiliated Organizations (HPAO) is a health and human service agency committed to treating and preventing substance use disorders and mental illness. Programs are located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts, offering a comprehensive range of services including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based care. The agency supports individuals and families through various programs addressing substance use, mental health, abuse, violence, and homelessness.

Requirements

  • Must always present as courteous and professional
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas logically
  • Proficient in basic computer skills and software, including electronic medical records
  • Able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others
  • Understanding of the relationship between substance use and mental health issues
  • Understanding of boundaries and ethics
  • Compliance with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Substance Abuse Confidentiality Regulations, and HIPAA Regulations
  • Completion of the HPAO approved de-escalation program
  • Maintain and submit necessary licenses or certifications for the position

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Directs, supervises, and evaluates the treatment of services according to standards and regulations
  • Oversees the implementation of HPAO policies and procedures
  • Supports after-hours/on-call program for patient clinical emergencies
  • Supervises operations staff and conducts weekly supervision meetings
  • Collaborates with all services within the program and oversees incident monitoring
  • Fosters an environment for self-improvement and individual responsibility
  • Monitors expenses, prepares monthly fiscal reports, and reviews quarterly with the Committee on Quality Improvement (CQI)
  • Performs chart reviews to ensure proper documentation of services
  • Facilitates the functioning of the program across departments
  • Stays informed about HPAO policies and procedures and participates in policy writing
  • Attends mandatory trainings and participates in community outreach activities
  • Represents the agency in community meetings and liaisons with collaborating organizations
  • Assists in provider meetings and represents the agency in other relevant settings
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and President/CEO

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in human services or related field
  • 5+ years of management experience
