Primary Responsibilities
- Lead site civil engineering design efforts for site civil engineering related to buildings, facilities, and infrastructure projects across diverse market sectors, including: Residential, commercial, and industrial developments, Water/wastewater systems, Municipal and federal projects, Power and data center facilities.
- Serve as the Civil Engineer of Record when required.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary design teams throughout all project phases—from initial planning through construction documentation and administration.
- Prepare detailed construction drawings, technical specifications, engineering calculations and reports.
- Manage permitting processes with federal, state, and local agencies.
- Review shop drawings and provide support during the construction phase.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from an ABET-accredited university.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in site civil/land development design for buildings or infrastructure, including: Demolition, Erosion control, Site layout, Stormwater management, Grading and drainage, Utility design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, ICPR/Stormwise, WaterCAD, and StormCAD.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within fast-paced, multidisciplinary teams.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and proactive, with strong leadership skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality, technically sound designs with minimal supervision.
- Experience serving as Engineer of Record on previous projects.
- Proposal writing experience.
- Project management experience.
- Prior experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
- Preference given to local candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Previous experience in general civil engineering.
- Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
