Site Civil Engineer *
About the role
HDR Engineering is seeking a Civil/Senior Site Civil Engineer to join one of the largest, fastest-growing, and comprehensive TMT (Tech, Media and Telecom) practices in the industry. Opportunities are available in preferred locations across the US and UK.
Responsibilities
- Conduct early project development activities including site selection, due diligence, and site planning
- Design and plan production for general civil on a wide variety of mission critical projects, including site layouts, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, and associated civil engineering activities
- Conduct quantity calculations
- Conduct permitting submittals to local authorities having jurisdiction
- Coordinate and work closely with a multidiscipline design team throughout the entire life cycle of projects from planning stages, through the development of construction documents, and construction administration
- Provide technical expertise in areas of specialization
- Plan and develop projects or design activities that have significant impact on major company programs
- Supervise work of other professionals and technicians
- Prepare/Review civil engineering scope of work and budgets/estimates for proposals
Requirements
- Strong operating knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Bluebeam Revu
- Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
- Demonstrated experience in working with multi-disciplined teams of Architects, Engineers, and Designers
- Preference given to local candidates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Good verbal and written communication skills

This individual should be self-motivated, collaborative, and possess strong leadership skills with an initiative to deliver high quality, technically sound civil site designs.

Pay
The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.) The targeted salary range for this position (based on experience and location) is $74,900 - $139,100 {New Jersey}: $86,135 - $133,750
