Site Civil CAD Intern
About the role
As a Site Civil Intern at HDR, you will gain real-world experience on exciting projects while connecting with recent graduates and company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs. You will apply standard engineering techniques and procedures under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager.

Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
- Attention to detail
- Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a college, technical school, or vocational program pursuing a degree or certification in Computer-Aided Drafting & Design (CADD), engineering technology, drafting technology, or a related field
- Prior experience with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred but not required)
- One to two years of completed coursework toward a drafting certification or associate degree
- Basic understanding of CAD drafting principles including layers, xrefs, dimensions, annotations, and drawing scales
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings or construction plans
- Exposure to civil engineering drafting, including site layouts, grading, utilities, or roadway design
- Interest in pursuing a career in CAD drafting or civil design technology
