SIP Superintendent (Tulsa, OK) - Austin Industrial

The SIP Superintendent position at Austin Industrial specializes in various specialties including installation and maintenance of mechanical insulation, sheet metal lagging, scaffolding, industrial coatings, passive fire protection, energy audits, and the removal and abatement of asbestos, lead, mold, and other hazardous materials. Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to the project team to promote safety, quality, teamwork, respect, and efficiency.
- Manage a wide range of chemical remediation projects that range in scope and complexity from small cleanups to full decontamination and remediation of entire systems and buildings.
- Manage the removal and disposal of lead containing materials to meet or exceed EPA and OSHA requirements that may include vacuum blasting, mechanical abrasion, chemical strip, encapsulation, and removal/replacement.
- Manage the removal and disposal of asbestos, lead, mold, and other hazardous materials.
- Deliver value added scaffolding services that maximize project productivity and meet OSHA compliance requirements.
- Manage industrial coatings and linings with a full understanding of the various installation techniques in challenging environmental conditions.
- Manage painting projects with experience specializing in challenging painting projects.
- Operate in compliance with the prime contract and Austin internal policies and procedures.
- Report any safety incidents, near misses, injuries, and quality issues to the Operations Manager, Site or Regional HSE representative.
- Must be able to perform work wearing personnel protective equipment, including but not limited to rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and air purifying respirators, safety harness, sand blast hoods, fire resistant coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs, and safety glasses.
- Regularly have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; work at heights; balance for extended periods of time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 10 years of industrial maintenance and/or construction experience.
- A certified LEED Professional is a plus.
- Pass drug screen and background check as a condition of employment.
