Singer/Musician - on call

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform as a lay minister in support of the parish’s spiritual and pastoral mission.
• Abside by Catholic principles in the singer’s professional and private life, and shall govern his/her professional and private life in strict accordance with Catholic morals and principles to demonstrate complete adherence to Catholic moral strictures;
• Perform as a singer for the assigned musical events.
• Maintain Church protocol including maintaining an environment of respect and solemnity at all liturgical celebrations.
• Maintain open communications with volunteer musicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical/Mental Requirements

• Requires coordination and manual dexterity, normal mental and visual ability;
• Ability to lift as required in a normal musical environment.

Basic Qualifications

• Exercise courtesy to fellow employees, parishioners and the general public;
• Punctuality is a must at all times;
• Professional bearing; clean and neat personal appearance;
• Ability to successfully pass a background and criminal history check.

Education and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in vocal music.

Other/Preferred Skills

• Degree in Music
