Simulation Software Engineer

About the role

This position is within a technology company based in Boston that specializes in developing quantum networking software and infrastructure. The company aims to help organizations build and operate entanglement-based quantum networks for secure communications, computing connectivity, and distributed quantum sensing. Unlike companies focusing on general-purpose quantum computers, this company builds the software and control systems necessary for quantum networks.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain software used to model, test, and optimize quantum networks before hardware deployment.
• Turn cutting-edge research into production software.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, math, or engineering-related fields.
• Experience with web development including React, TypeScript, FastAPI, or Django.
• Strong Python development experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience building and managing cloud backend services.
• CUDA/GPU computing familiarity.
• Familiarity with networking protocols and encryption standards.
