Job Summary/Basic Function
This position is for a full-time, non-faculty position. Functions include coordination with Simulation Coordinator, IT, Nursing, EMT/Paramedic faculty and staff to manage laboratory (lab) supplies, equipment, technology, inventory and other resources in order to deliver a variety of training and scenarios for the benefit of students and faculty in the Allied Health Division. Additional functions include assisting the Allied Health Division simulation schedule to be arranged to meet student and faculty needs. Additionally, to participate in simulation scenarios at the direction of the Simulation Coordinator and in conjunction with the faculty.
Minimum Qualifications
- • Associates degree in an allied health field, associate in computer science or related field or two years’ work experience in a health care, IT or related field.
- • Current AHA BLS certification.
- • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to troubleshoot multiple software and network hardware systems.
- • Knowledge of medical terminology.
- • General knowledge related to electronics, cabling and computers.
- • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and build relationships.
- • Ability to learn new equipment and update skills to adapt to changing technology.
- • Excellent organizational skills and ability to think logically and follow directions.
- • Innovative approaches to problem solving.
- • Ability to adapt to changes in role and schedule in order to best meet the needs of students, faculty, organization and community.
- • Communicate with students, colleagues, and other stakeholders in a professional manner.
Preferred Qualifications
- • Associates degree in an allied health field, associate in computer science or related field.
- • Experience with Laerdell and other simulation equipment.
- • Experience with electronic health documentation in a simulated environment.
- • Experience with delivery of simulation scenarios.
