Wyoming Preference Act Notification: This job is being posted in accordance with Wyoming State Statue 16-6-203, Article 2 - Preference for Wyoming State Laborers. Preference will be given to Wyoming residents (90 days previous residency) who meet the skill requirements.
About the role
Operates a variety of heavy equipment, vehicles, and tooling used in construction and/or plant production activities. Positions begin July 24, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Embrace the Company’s safety culture, actively support all safety initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the Safety Steering and Continuous Improvement teams
- Support, promote, and practice the Company core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policies
- Observe safety procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly
- Operate heavy equipment, including, but not limited to, loaders, backhoes, skid steers, excavators, and other mobile equipment used in completion of construction projects and/or in support of production operations
- Operate other tools and equipment as required for assigned tasks
- Perform minor equipment maintenance tasks, including but not limited to greasing and checking oil and fluids
- Drive company vehicles to worksites and company locations when authorized
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver’s license (ability to maintain a clean driving history required)
- Previous experience in operation of heavy equipment required
- Ability to work with others in a professional manner
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure of deadlines and problem-solve
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Physical Requirements
- Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
- Regularly required to use hands to move and manipulate objects
- Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear)
- Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Standing/working on feet for long periods, and walking across uneven terrain
- Regularly required to work from a seated position operating equipment for long periods
- Frequent exposure to loud noise
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration
- Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles
- Regularly exposed to fuel, oil, and other chemicals
- Occasionally exposed to working from high, precarious places and risk of electrical shock
