We'll put as
. Physical Requirements and Work Conditions could be part of Requirements or separate sections. Since we have a Requirements section already, we could add sub-sections? But we only allowed headings for specific sections; we could add another heading like "Physical Requirements" and "Work Conditions". The instruction says use headings for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It doesn't forbid other headings, but says "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." So we might combine Physical Requirements and Work Conditions into Requirements or Qualifications? But they are substantive; we could add a section "Physical Requirements" and "Work Conditions". However they'd be thin? They have multiple bullet points; could be okay. But we need to avoid too many sections. Perhaps we can include Physical Requirements under Requirements, and Work Conditions under Requirements as well. But we need to preserve all info; we can embed them as lists under Requirements. Let's decide: Requirements section will contain: - Required certifications (list) - Required qualifications (list) - Physical requirements (list) - Work conditions (list) That may be many lists but still under one heading. Alternatively, we could split into Requirements and Physical Requirements and Work Conditions as separate headings. But that would be many sections. Given instruction: "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." So better to combine. Thus we will have sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications (preferred), Benefits, Pay. Now Benefits: What We Offer list. Let's extract Benefits: - A strengths-based, engagement-focused, and performance-oriented culture - Ongoing learning, development, and Educational Assistance (including little to no out-of-pocket cost for online and in-person courses at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Metropolitan Community College) - 401(k) retirement plan - Employee Stock Purchase Plan with 20% match up to 5% - Medical, dental and vision insurance, which are collectively bargained for through union membership - Wellness and Employee Assistance Programs We'll put as
. Pay: Rate of Pay: $50.52. We'll put

          Rate of Pay: $50.52

under Pay heading. Now ensure we didn't include boilerplate: removed Reference Number, Department, Closing Date, application instructions, EEO etc. Check for any leftover boilerplate: The text "Most communications will be done electronically..." etc removed. Also removed "If you wish to solicit an employee referral..." etc. Also removed "Apply only to those locations where you are prepared to live and work Union Pacific strives to attract all available talent..." etc (that's fluff). Also removed "We are committed to creating an environment where all people can be their best..." etc. Now ensure we didn't miss any substantive info: The description about conducting signal system testing etc is in About the role. The responsibilities list we included. The required certifications we included. Required qualifications we included. Preferred qualifications we included. Physical requirements and work conditions we omitted? Wait we omitted them! We need to include them somewhere. We said we would include them under Requirements. Let's add them. Physical Requirements list: - Must have normal color vision, enabling the detection and interpretation of various visual color signals and displays, as well as the ability to determine the speed of moving objects at both close and distant ranges. - Must be capable of standing for extended periods during the workday, with the flexibility to change positions periodically for comfort. - Must have the capacity to engage in physically demanding tasks, including occasional bending, stooping, and kneeling. - Must be able to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 65 lbs, as well as push and pull objects up to 119 lbs. - Must be able to occasionally walk, climb, and maintain balance on ladders, poles, and equipment in a safe manner. -
