About the role

The Signal Integrity team drives high-end, high-performance, high-speed product signaling and power designs, including HBM, GDDR, LPDRAM, DDR5/DDR6, PCIeGen7, and advanced signaling development. We explore and develop sophisticated signaling techniques and package/channel improvements, focusing on circuit power reduction, data encoding, channel equalization, new interconnect technologies, and more. We engage in traditional interface standardization efforts through JEDEC and partner engagements, improve modeling and methodologies within the Signal Integrity group and across Micron, and mentor junior team members through informal collaboration and formal knowledge-sharing opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Drive high-end, high-performance, high-speed product signaling and power designs
  • Explore and develop sophisticated signaling techniques and package/channel improvements
  • Engage in traditional interface standardization efforts through JEDEC and partner engagements
  • Improve modeling and methodologies within the Signal Integrity group and across Micron
  • Mentor junior team members through informal collaboration and formal knowledge-sharing opportunities

Requirements

  • PhD with 5 years of industry experience or MSEE with 10 years of industry experience
  • Strong Signal and Power Integrity Background
  • Strong Mixed-signal Circuit Design Background
  • Solid knowledge of 3D E.M. field solvers, Matlab, time and frequency domain simulation tools like HFSS, HSPICE, SPECTRE, ADS, etc.
  • Hands-on knowledge of lab measurement equipment such as Oscilloscopes, TDR, Vector Network Analyzer (VNA), etc.

  • Pro-active: Identify gaps and opportunities and address them with minimal direction
  • Transformational: Think “outside-the-box” and offer innovative solutions within practical constraints
  • Communicator: Clearly convey vital details of sophisticated issues and corresponding solutions in both written and verbal formats

Pay

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $155,000.00 - $340,000.00 per year. Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses, and equity.
