Piper Companies is seeking a Signal Integrity Engineer to join a leading technology organization supporting advanced hardware and high-speed connectivity solutions in a hybrid setting near Durham, NC.
About the role
The ideal Signal Integrity Engineer will focus on troubleshooting signal integrity issues, analyzing test and manufacturing data, identifying root causes, and driving corrective actions to improve product performance and reliability across global manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot high-speed SerDes and signal integrity related issues.
- Analyze test, validation, and manufacturing data to identify failures and determine root causes.
- Perform investigations and validation activities within Failure Analysis and Signal Integrity labs.
- Recommend and implement corrective actions to resolve hardware and manufacturing issues.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, test, and manufacturing teams to improve product performance.
- Support manufacturing operations through data analysis and technical troubleshooting.
- Conduct measurements and validate test results using standard SI methodologies and equipment.
- Work closely with global teams to support issue resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Travel as needed for training, factory support, and troubleshooting activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of hands-on Signal Integrity (SI) experience.
- Experience with SerDes technologies, channel analysis, and high-speed signal troubleshooting.
- Proven ability to review test data, diagnose failures, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Experience working in laboratory environments conducting measurements and validation testing.
- Knowledge of high-speed interconnects, connectors, PCB design, or related hardware technologies is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
Pay
Salary range: $80,000 - $110,000 annually based on experience.
