About the Role

Amphenol High Speed Products Group, a division of Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) and Amphenol Corporation, is seeking a Signal Integrity Engineer to join our team in Nashua, NH. ACS is a world leader in interconnect solutions for Communications, Mobile, RF, Optics, and Commercial electronics markets. This role is part of an established team of dedicated signal integrity engineers and multidisciplinary professionals responsible for component development and customer support for new product introduction.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on a multi-disciplinary team in the development of next-generation high-speed backplane interconnect products.
  • Design, simulate, characterize, and apply high-speed electrical connectors and cable-based interconnects.
  • Provide solutions to customers across diverse sectors for their high-speed data transmission requirements.
  • Support internal Sales Engineers in developing strategies for product adoption at existing and new accounts using signal integrity and electrical engineering expertise.
  • Identify and resolve signal integrity issues in PCB layout and direct layout efforts.
  • Apply circuit theory and high-speed digital transmission principles to PCB layout for high-speed digital design.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
  • Hands-on experience with frequency-domain and time-domain component and circuit characterization, including understanding of test and calibration methods.
  • Experience with signal integrity measurements and debugging using TDR, VNA, pattern generators, error detectors, and similar equipment.
  • Understanding of electromagnetic principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
  • 2+ years of industry experience.
  • Experience in component design and application of high-speed interconnects into communications systems.
  • Proficiency with signal integrity and simulation/analysis tools such as Ansys HFSS and Designer, CST Microwave, HSPICE, MatLab, and ADS.
