Responsibilities
- Aid in providing solutions to customers across various sectors regarding their high-speed data transmission needs.
- Identify and address signal integrity issues in printed circuit board (PCB) layouts, and guide layout practices for customers.
- Contribute to the design, simulation, characterization, and application of high-speed electrical connectors and cable-based interconnects.
- Support internal Sales Engineers in developing strategies for product adoption at existing and new accounts based on signal integrity and electrical engineering expertise.
- Apply circuit theory and high-speed digital design principles, along with PCB layout principles, for high-speed digital designs.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in the development of next-generation Wilder high-speed products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
- Hands-on experience with frequency-domain and time-domain component and circuit characterization, including understanding of test and calibration methods.
- Experience with signal integrity measurements and debugging using techniques such as Time-Domain Reflectometry (TDR), Vector Network Analyzers (VNA), pattern generators, error detectors, and similar measurement equipment.
- Understanding of electromagnetic principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
- At least two years of industry experience.
- Experience in component design and application of high-speed interconnects into communication systems.
- Experience with signal integrity and simulation/analysis tools such as Ansys HFSS and Designer, CST Microwave, HSPICE, MatLab, and ADS.
