About the role

The Signal Integrity Engineer will contribute to dedicated teams responsible for customer system development and support from concept to production, located in Seattle, WA.

Responsibilities

  • Develop integration and test strategies in support of new product introduction.
  • Assist with providing solutions to customers across a wide range of sectors with their high-speed data transmission requirements.
  • Design and evaluate next-generation production test platforms.
  • Support Production to ensure a high level of test and measurement excellence.
  • Support internal Sales Engineers to develop strategies for product break-in at existing and new accounts based on signal integrity and electrical engineering expertise.
  • Design, simulate, characterize, and apply high-speed electrical connectors and cable-based interconnects.
  • Share knowledge and pursue continuous improvement in methods and workflows.
  • Design, build, and measure circuit boards for measurement and verification of products.
  • Apply circuit theory and high-speed digital transmission, PCB layout principles for high-speed digital design.

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering; MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • 3 years of industry experience with an understanding of electromagnetic principles for digital signal integrity.
  • Experience in component design and application of high-speed connectors into communications equipment is a plus.
  • Experience with signal integrity measurements and debugging using TDR, VNA, pattern generators, error detectors, and similar measurement equipment.
  • Experience with signal integrity and simulation/analysis tools such as Ansys HFSS and Designer, CST Microwave, HSPICE, MatLab, and ADS.
  • Hands-on experience with frequency-domain and time-domain component and circuit characterization, including understanding of test and calibration methods.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $95,000 to $150,000. In determining the rate of pay, Amphenol considers a variety of nondiscriminatory factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant industry experience, qualifications, skills, and education.
