Responsibilities

• Works on multiple different projects simultaneously.
• Loads materials on/into printers, table router, laser cutter and engraver: which may require some heavy lifting.
• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium.
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application to include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc.
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images; weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of images.
• Operate and maintain printer(s).
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards.
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed pieces.
• Ability to perform on-site and off-site installations.
• Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.
• Clean and maintain storage areas.
• Prepares comprehensive layouts, mockups, proofs and copy for print reproduction according to instructions from clients and the sales team.
• Performs logo modification and sources high-quality digital files.
• Prepares files, including adding bleeds, crop marks, die-lines, hole locations, and other finishing file layers as required, archiving files upon completion for future use.
• Inspects all jobs for accuracy and quality before sending them to be produced.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in sign production preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Exceptionally detail-oriented to ensure every part of a project comes out correctly the first time.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (4 hours or more)
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate
• Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work
• Ability to use light power equipment
• Experience in graphic design / print production, using PC and Mac.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop.
• Knowledge of a variety of graphics programs and output devices such as vinyl plotters, large-format printers, and laminators.
• Strong math and proof-reading skills, including spelling and grammar.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Prompt, reliable and responsible.

Pay

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
