Sign Production Specialist

About the Role

FASTSIGNS #160901 is hiring a full-time Sign Production Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and is eager to learn and grow in the ever-changing sign industry.

Responsibilities

• Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic images on predetermined substrates or media.
• Prepare substrates for vinyl application, including cutting, painting, laminating, and cleaning.
• Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images, using techniques that vary with size, type of vinyl, and image complexity.
• Operate and maintain printers.
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting work orders and proofing for errors or unacceptable standards.
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating and/or mounting of printed pieces.
• Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.
• Clean and maintain storage areas.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in sign production preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for long periods (4 hours or more).
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds.
• Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back-and-forth hand motions to apply vinyl letters and graphics.
• Ability to work under pressure to produce high-volume, high-quality work.
• Ability to use light power equipment.

Pay

$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
